GET TO KNOW "TERRIER TORRENT"

Pamela, from Something Wagging This Way Comes had a wonderful idea, a Pet Bloggers Gift Exchange.  We were paired with another blogger, to get to know them, and share encouragement and compliments so that other bloggers could get to know them too.  It was serendipitous that BJ and I were teamed with Gizmo, the Terrier Torrent.

It turned out that Gizmo and I, BJ,  have a lot in common.  Gizmo describes himself as "a handsome terrier-about-town with a distinct point of view.  And that he is.  Most amazing is that we look alike.   How great is that!
This is me.

??????????????????????
This is Gizmo
If I weren't recently groomed I would look scruffy just like Gizmo.  Anyway, we both came from shelters and we both filled a need for our new moms.

The "girl", as Gizmo calls her,  had recently lost Bruno, her long-time companion and the house had an empty feel to it.  She decided she'd give a pup a second chance and visited The County's Animal Control Shelter in Florida.  We all know that we humans do not choose a pup; the pup chooses us.  Whether it's with a sad face or eyes, or a happy wagging tail, they decide.  Sure enough, a tiny terrier chose her and gave her those sad puppy eyes to seal the deal.   Gizmo had a forever home.  As you can see, he is adorable.

Things were almost the same for BJ, except that he sealed the deal with a fast wagging tail.  Our similarities continued,  Gizmo and BJ celebrate Hanukkah, We both want to stop animal cruelty,  and want no-kill shelters.  Most of all we give our moms unconditional love and are grateful to be part of their family.

There are a few things that I envy.  Gizmo lives in Florida with warm weather and it's easy to go on long hikes.  They belong to a Doggie Social Club and recently went to Saddle Creek with trails that went through the trees and grass with beautiful views.

That's Gizmo in the front - where else?

They also took a kayaking trip on the Weeki Wachee River, wherever that is, and got to see the manatees, an alligator, and birds.  The manatees come right up to the kayaks.  Gizmo posts such beautiful and serene pictures so you just imagine yourself with them.

We love reading Gizmo's posts and seeing the pictures.  I wait for tales of their next adventure and pretend I'm with them. Stop by Terrier Torrent and say hello.  Tell Gizmo, BJ from Two Ears and a Tail says hello.

Take time to meet all the bloggers sharing gifts of encouragement and love at the Pet Bloggers Gift Exchange this season.

  3. I love that you found a doggle-ganger. The world can never have too many smart and funny terriers.

Gizmo and his person are new friends to me but I love seeing pictures of their adventures. Nothing better than coming in from shoveling snow to see bright sunny pictures from Florida.

Thanks so much for joining the Pet Blogger Gift Exchange.
