It's BJ. Big happenings for Mom. Friday was her birthday, a big one, and she had an aliyah (a blessing at the Torah) in synagogue this morning. She told me it was very nice and the rabbi gave her a beautiful blessing.
I wouldn't know, I couldn't go because I wasn't allowed in. It is not fair. I'm family and should been allowed to be there for her. They let in two legged children who run around and make noise. I would have sat quietly next to Mom and been very good. Well, maybe I would have given a Woof, woof after the blessing to show my approval.
Her synagogue doesn't have a service for the "blessing of the animals". She said that even though we're Jewish she would take me to a church that has that SPECIAL day. The priest would welcome me and give me a blessing. Woof, woof.
Woof Woof and happy birthday wishes!
ReplyDeleteThank you. And, thank you for a wonderful lunch.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your mom! You might not have been there for the blessing, but I hope you got to celebrate with her the rest of the day!
ReplyDeleteShe gave me special treats - dried lamb lung. Yum.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement. That means I'm about 40. I would say younger, but sometimes I can't get up as quickly as I once was.
