Daylight Saving Time - YUK

Why do we still have Daylight Saving Time?  It was created  so the farmers would have more daylight hours to farm and the store owners said that it was better for business because more people shopped when it was light out.

That is long past.   We no longer use a horse and buggy to get around; we use cars with headlights.  We no longer have dark streets and paths; we have street lights.

DST is a pain.  Americans need to reset our internal clocks twice a year.  What a pain.  We need to waste time reseting our clocks.  I need all the time in the day not less.

Further all of the USA is not on DST.  Arizona, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands do not observe DST.  Arizona is even more confusing because parts of the state observe DST and parts do not.
Indiana spans two time zones so for a while there were places where you crossed the street you entered another time zone (or the Twilight Zone).  Indiana has since decreed that the entire state would observe one time zone.  It's even funnier that when you go north or south of the state you would be in a different time zone.

Why does the US have to make things difficult for the people?
