A Conundrum

We have a conundrum concerning my food.  (Mom just taught me that word.)  Mom came home from BlogPaws with lots of swag that included all kinds of canned and dry food and treats.  She started to phase in the new foods and I loved them.  I ate everything.   Then she started to read the labels.

Now the conundrum.  Mom has this thing about chemicals.  She reads the ingredients and if she can't pronounce them, she won't eat them.  That's the same with the food she feeds me.   But, I really like the other kind also, especially the canned.   The companies wouldn't make food that's bad for me so why can't I have food that tastes good to me?

My Dinner
So what do you think?  Shouldn't mom just feed me food that I love?

Summer??

It's Memorial Day Weekend; the unofficial start of Summer.  Yeah, right.  It's rainy, cold, and windy.
It's May and COLD.

My landlord yielded to some tenants requests and turned the central heating off to activate the a/c.   So, great, it's 50 degrees and we have a/c.  There was only one way for me to get warm - go under the comforter.

Who Me!

Mom left me alone again to go to jury duty and when she came home she found this:

Me?
Me?

Who did that?
Bear, my stuffed bear was my favorite toy.  I carried him from room to room; I tossed him around; I slept with him in my bed.  Why would anyone destuff Bear?  I loved him.

Mom blamed me.  Even though I was lonely and bored, I wouldn't have hurt Bear.  Harvey, the six-foot-one, white rabbit, must have reappeared from the movie and did it.  He wanted to get me in trouble.

Luckily, mom thought so too.  She didn't get mad at me AND she didn't throw Bear away.
Whew!  Dodged a bullet on that one.

Monday was a trying day.  Mom finally got home and wanted to post and get in touch with people she met, at BlogPaws and we had no power.  There was a fire in the electrical wiring under ground and we had no power all day.  Con Ed does not have the fastest workers.  We couldn't use the MAC or cell because we had no wi fi.   It was scary using the stairs with only a flashlight.

I should be happy that Mom stayed home with me on Monday.  But, on Tuesday she had to go to jury duty and I thought that was wrong.

I'm very astute and I know when she is just getting dressed and when she's getting dressed to go out.  I knew she was going out - without me - so I stretched out in front of the door.
I tried to stop her from opening the front door.

I tried to stop her from opening the door but I'm only 20 lbs. and she was able to move me.   And she left me all day.   This is my unhappy/sad picture.

I'm sad and a little peeved.

She was home today catching up.  Good.  I hope she stays with me tomorrow.

Do you think if she could get me certified as a service or therapy dog I could go with her to jury duty?

The Trip Home

Mom had a saga coming home from BlogPaws.  She got on the bus with Tracey and Kevin and two minutes later she realized she left her bag on the table and had to go back.  Then there was track work on the Metro and she had to get off, take a shuttle to another stop.  Time was ticking and she was nervous.  She had to change lines and of course wait for the train. 10 minutes left and you can picture her running around Union Station.

Except for the baby screaming for 3 1/2 hours and the mother and daughter sitting next to her texting with the keystroke sound on, and the guy in back of her didn't need a cell phone for his friend to hear him, the trip was fine.

It was getting home that was a problem, It was raining - try getting a cab in NYC in the rain.  She came home dripping wet because her umbrella was at the bottom of her suitcase.

I was so happy she was home, I did body wiggles.

She signed up for next year in Vegas.

Don't you think she should take me.
Please tell her.

Who Me?

Hi!  It's me, BJ and I'm back.  It's Mom's fault that I haven't written anything in a while.  I wanted to use pictures like everyone else and couldn't  Her camera wasn't working so she used her new smartphone.  Fine.  The pictures were good.  She just didn't know how to transfer the pictures from the phone to her MAC.   You would think she would know since worked as a techie.

Anyway, I got blamed.  Mom gave me a wonderful Bear stuffed animal because I love to hug it and carry it from room to room.  I pretend it's another dog and pull it and pounce on it and chew it.  Which is what I did after our morning walk.  Mom walked into the bedroom and ...
Who did that?

Now Bear has less stuffing.  Mom won't sew him up
again and he may have to go to Bear Heaven.  Then
I'll have no stuffed animal.

I said I was sorry, (even though I didn't admit what
really happened).  Shouldn't I get another chance?
Who did that?  I looked around and had no one to blame.  Lynda just said that she couldn't keep putting the stuffing back into Bear.  And then this is what happened in the living room.  Who did that?
The same thing happened again.
